Stephen Colbert points out that Barack Obama has referred to himself as a 'black candidate.' Colbert's guest, Debra Dickerson, disagrees with Obama's description of himself and says that in the American political context, Obama is not black.
Debra Dickerson is a columnist for Salon.com and author of the book, "The End of Blackness." Colbert's character disagrees with the premise of the book, saying, "I want to come out right here and say that I'm against ending blackness. I believe that everyone has a right to be black. It's a choice and I support that."

| New film shows JFK, Jr. moments before assassination (try #2)
The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is release a newly found film of JFK, Jr. moments before the assassination occurred.
The museum provides the following description with the film:
"This newly-discovered home movie of the fateful Kennedy motorcade was recently donated to The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. The photographer, George Jefferies, filmed President and Mrs. Kennedy on Main Street at Lamar in downtown Dallas less than 90 seconds before the assassination. Secret Service Agent Clint Hill, assigned to protect Jackie Kennedy, can be seen riding on the left rear bumper. The donor, Wayne Graham, is the son-in-law of Mr. Jefferies."
This video also includes a short news briefing about the film from MSNBC News.

CNN's Ed Henry begins he report, saying, "This past weekend, U.S. Military officials in Baghdad laid out what they claim to be evidence of Iranian meddling in iraq. Specifically, providing bomb-making materials to insurgents in Iraq who were, in turn, using those materials to kill U.S. soldiers and Marines. These claims being met with skepticism in part because so many claims the Bush administration made in advance of the Iraq war turned out to be false. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Pace, is now saying, in fact, while these explosive projectiles are, in fact, manufactured in Iran, 'I would not say but that I know, that the Iranian Government clearly knows or is complicit.' It sounded to some, including me, that perhaps the U.S. government is not on the same page here. So I put that question to Tony Snow..."

| Army hides Depleted Uranium dangers from troops
A group of soldiers are suing the Army for sickness caused by exposure to Depleted Uranium while in Iraq. DU is a radioactive metal used for armoring US vehicles and for warheads. Scientist say that DU dust is created on the battle field which can be inhaled and cause genetic malformations. The Army denies that DU poses serious health risks.

| Shuster: 'Prosecutors still looking for ways to pursue Cheney' (short)
If Lewis "Scooter" Libby is convicted for perjury and obstruction then prosecutors may try to "flip" Libby. Legal sources tell MSNBC's David Shuster that prosecutors will try to get Libby to turn over evidence against the Vice President.
Closing arguments for Libby's trial are expected to begin today.

| Stewart maps Republican blame-game in Foley fallout
Republican leadership in the House are pointing fingers at each other in wake of Rep. Mark Foley's lurid messages scandal, according to Jon Stewart. The buck seems to stop with Hastert, Stewart says, "What's really going on in Washington? [clip of men jumping off boat] By the way, the boat that everyone is jumping off of is this man, Dennis Hastert."
"So, the Republicans are blaming each other. Surely, this scandal can't be the fault of the party of moral values and accountability. Surely, someone can lay the blame where it truly belongs", says Stewart. Fox pundits and hosts find various ways to suggest that Democrats share the blame. In one case, on Bill O'Reilly's show, the on-screen banner identified Foley as a Democrat. The graphic was shown several times during the course of O'Reilly's show. Fox News did not correct the graphic or acknoledge the error on air.
